About Us

The Greater Philadelphia Gamer Symphony Orchestra is a nonprofit community orchestra dedicated to performing video game music. We aim to share artistic and innovative compositions from all eras of gaming history with audiences around the greater Philadelphia area.

Inspired by successful community ensembles like the Washington Metropolitan GSO and the New Jersey GSO, GPGSO began in summer 2025 as a casual open-door group with biweekly rehearsals in Glenside, PA. That fall, we solidified our membership, transitioned to weekly rehearsals, and worked towards our first sold-out performance at Or Hadash Synagogue.

In 2026, inspired by our successful first concert, we plan to expand our membership, perform in bigger venues, and enhance our sound by acquiring percussion instruments!
